How to Start as a STEPN GO HAUS Host (Grow Your Earnings)
What is a HAUS host?
HAUS lets you lend your spare NFT sneakers to other players (guests). By having a guest walk in your place, you share the earned cryptocurrency (GGT) and mint quota (points for creating new sneakers), earning more than you could by walking alone.
3 requirements to become a host
To lend out sneakers, you need to meet the following in-game conditions.
- You have burned at least 2 sneakers.
- You have spent 10 energy in total.
- You own a sneaker to lend, separate from the one you use yourself.
3 steps to start lending
Set your lending terms
- Energy: set how much energy a guest can walk per day (2–4 energy). You cannot set a value above your own energy cap.
- Reward share: set what percentage of the earned GGT goes to the guest (20%–80%).
Recruit a guest and share your code
- Once your terms are set, a dedicated HAUS code (guest code) is issued.
- Share this code on communities such as X or Discord, or on this site's code-sharing board, to recruit a guest.
The guest starts walking
Once the guest enters the code and starts walking, rewards are distributed automatically.
Benefits and things to know about hosting
Benefits (an earnings boost)
- Energy your guests spend does not count toward your own daily spending cap.
- You can lend to up to 5 guests, so you can spend the extra energy you can't burn alone (up to 10–20 energy) and earn more efficiently.
Things to know
- No buff: the fitness-level buff (up to 150%) that applies when the host walks does not apply to guests. A guest's GGT efficiency is always 100%.
- Sneaker limits: a sneaker that is being lent cannot mint (create new sneakers). Leveling up during lending is still possible.
- Sneakers you can't lend: SBTs (special sneakers that can't be transferred or sold) are not eligible for lending.
